Prerequisite: Placement in English 1101 or completion of Learning Support English and/or Reading. It is the students responsibility to attend all class meetings as scheduled. I will provide you with a schedule of specific dates indicating when papers are due. You will not do well in this course if you do not attend class. If you miss class, you are responsible for obtaining any material, such as lecture notes, which you may miss. This is not a distance-learning course, nor is it an on-line course. You need to be here, and you need to be on time for class; therefore, if you miss more than nine classes (20%), you will probably fail the course. For a full-semester class meeting two days per week, this means that six (6) absences will result in your being administratively withdrawn from the cours e. Should this occur before Midterm, the final grade will be a W; after Midterm, the final grade will be a WF. For classes meeting three days a week, nine (9) absences will result in administrative withdrawal.
